- Read your own poem
- Even read song lyrics that mean a lot to you
- We're exploring patriotic songs that were often written as poetry.
- As we explore songs, we will explore patriotic artifacts and write short pieces about them to eventually read.
- Thanks to Chuck Thomas, we're bringing back the 43522 poem!
- Our themes: Independence, Patriotism, America, the Beautiful

2026 SUNSET JAZZ & ARTS FESTIVAL

Plein Air painters have been invited to 'create' during the
jazz fest along the towpath and around
charming areas of our village.
Join us on the Grand Rapids Towpath with Maumee River wildlife as your backdrop as you listen to soothing jazz music. Bring lawn chairs/blankets; please leave coolers at home; adult beverages, sodas, water, & food will also be available; admission is free.

2026 Pop-Up Art Gallery
- Thursday, May 14- 4:00-8:00
Public is welcome to come peruse art and maybe pick up a masterpiece for that hard-to-buy-for person! Plein air artists will also paint along the Maumee River. Hors D'ours are provided; live music is by Aaron Hertzfeld; wine & beer for sale as you stroll the artists' works.

2026 Rapids Rally Days
Fri, July 10:
GRAC is bringing Teeth, a street artist to the Kick-Off party; along the towpath. Tater is the live music; adult beverages. will be available; Food available from Snyders pizza & Barbecued beef sandwiches by Knuckleheads. $100 duck drop at 7.
Sat,July 11:
GRAC is hosting a corn-hole tourney with a D.J.; adult beverages will be available. $1 buck a duck drop at 3.
PLEIN AIR ARTISTS The "Plein Air" movement was pioneered
by John Constable in Britain; then in 1860, it became fundamental to
"impressionism".The popularity of painting en plein air (in open air)
increased in the 1870s with the introduction of paints in tubes.
